I ordered this back in January. It arrived & I put it aside vs. assembling it because our chicks weren't due to arrive until April. So... when I opened it a week or so back, I discovered the plastic base was smashed to bits (likely partially due to the cold weather when delivered). I despaired when I realized we were outside Amazon's return / refund window. Shipping damage is something they expect you to notice immediately, after all. I contacted the Prevue company directly to see if I could order JUST the broken base pan. They asked for the details of my amazon order, I provided them, and they shipped us a NEW ONE - FREE! The new one was SO well packed (3 layers of cardboard & many pads & stiffeners) that I laughed as I sawed away at it for a half hour to reveal our perfect new base. The whole thing assembled in a snap & seems good & rugged. It's now awaiting this year's spring chicks! THANK YOU, PREVUE!!! (submitted by Dan's wife, LH) |
