My two young rats absolutely love this cage. Most other cages this size have bar spacing that young rats can get out through, but the bar spacing on this cage is PERFECT! Even at 8 weeks old they couldn't squeeze through. In addition, the cage is HUGE, incredibly easy to clean, and the doors are very large.... large enough that my 5 year old daughter can fit her entire torso in the cage to pick up her rats.I can't reccommend it highly enough! I have 2 female hamsters (panda bear) and there cages would get stinky right away. I had them in the CritterTrails cages, 3 connected together, and it would take forever to clean these cages because they have so many pieces. I love this new cage because you just unclasp the top, set the top aside, dump out the bottom tray and clean, then put back. It's real easy. I was a bit afraid that my hamsters would fit through the openings of the cage, but they don't. It's very sturdy, so even if they try to bite the cage, the wire doesn't bend like on the CritterTrails. It is very large, so my 2 hamsters have plenty of room to explore, and I even put tunnels inside the cage. I would definitely recommend for regular size hamsters. |
