I love this crate! I bought two for our cats. Our house is on the market and we will be moving soon. This crate affords us a safe and comfortable environment for our cats during realtor showings. It is mobile with wheels and will fit in our SUV for our final relocation. We are happy because we don't have to worry about our cats getting hurt or slipping away. Our cats appear to like the crates because they have a sense of security and comfort. I have added a litter box (full size), bedding, food bowl, water bottle, and a hammock so they have three available perches. One of our cats likes it so much he won't come out when the showings are over...he just likes to stay in there and chill...it's too cute!

I purchased this cage for my newly adopted cat, as she needed to be separated from my other two older cats. The cage has worked out beautifully, and the only suggestion I have for anyone buying this cage, is to cover the bottom, as the wire seemed to bother my cats feet. I used a piece of heavy vinyl and some fleece for the shelf which she uses as a bed. There is plenty of room for my cat, her litter box, food, and toys. It is easy to clean and the door opening makes it easy to take my cat out and put her back in. I feel that I made a very good choice, buying this cage.

I need to amend my previous review of this product due in fact to a weld that connects the wheel to the bottom of the cage that broke. The product was not packaged in a way that prevented it from becoming bent in several places thus making it hard enuff that I literally broke my thumb trying to assemble it and required emergency service on my thumb. I have no intention on paying to ship it back to the seller as I am already out enuff money from purchasing the cage plus hospital expenses and lost time from work. I feel it will be a matter of time before more or all of the welds around the wheels will break.

After reading the posting about the unfortunate event of the rabbit losing a tooth and later passing on I must say that I'm deeply saddened. I've lost a few of my favorite bun's before so I know how much it hurts. I have several of these cages and know others who have them as well and we all love them including a very good friend of mine who breeds and rescues rabbits who need a place to stay till they can find a loving home. As a fellow rabbit owner (6 to be exact) I must say that I'm very sorry about your loss, however I don't believe that cage is to blame I think it just an unfortunate event which could happen in any cage.

Keys to look at when you're selecting a place for your bun or cavy to reside:
(1) the cage should be five times the size of the animal. (2) plastic is better than metal (3) don't use cages with wire bottoms; this injures delicate paws on rabbits.
I do volunteer work with rabbits and guinea pigs, and the Marchioro is our favorite cage at the shelter. This particular cage is the most durable; plastic bottoms are always better than metal when you've got an animal in it for most of its day; they can take a lot of abuse and use.
When using this at home, its obvious the cage isn't five times as large as the animal. Therefore, the animal is going to need a lot of outside-the-cage time.

Excellent, sturdy cage; I like this product very much. Especially like the front and top opening features. Took one star off because it was a little time consuming and frustrating to put together, but if I can manage it, any one can. I got the cage as a back up emergency/travel cage for my young Holland Lop. A larger size would be recommended for every day living quarters for a rabbit, however.

i got this cage for my rex rabbit and it has plenty of space for him to stretch and run around. my boyfriend and i (mostly my boyfriend) put the cage together in about 10 minutes using a multi-tool (a wrench would probably be easier). there are actually 4 food doors, 2 on each side. the food doors make it difficult to put urine guards up but its doable. i like how its elevated and allows me to store bunny supplies underneath. i just use a large tupperware box with extra litter in it as a step for him to get in/out. the plastic tray came with one corner chipped but it still works. the shipping was supper fast although a bit pricey.
Pros: -fairly easy and quick assembly -seems durable -the wire bottom seems pretty good for bunny feet-the metal doesn't flex very easily -easy to move around
