Easy Spin Salad Spinner, White. This spinner works well -- but you've got to get the hang of it. Since the lid does not clamp down, you have to hold it down. And to get the "spin cycle" going you have to do some pulling. I'm left-handed, so I place my right hand firmly over the label on the lid. With my left hand, I pull the cord very rapidly a dozen or more times in succession (like fast pumping, only you're pulling) to activate a good fast spin. There's a 'brake' button to stop it short when the spin cycle slows down. I remove the top, pour out the water, reassemble, and do the same thing once again. Usually the second spin gets the lettuce as dry as it needs to be.And the lid DOES come apart for cleaning and drying. Squeeze together the rubber flanges that hold the two pieces together in the center of the underside of the lid, and pull gently on the little plastic handle that bridges over that hole. Comes right off.
