This cage includes 6.5 inches deep plastic pan, removable bottom grille, 2 large doors, and tubular steel stand with easy-rolling casters. The heavy-duty plastic pan is supported along the length of the cage for additional stability and can act as a urine guard if the cage is used without the bottom grille. We had a similar cage as pictured and wanted another for a new bunny. The cage was given to us and I had no idea of its make or model or even how old it was. The cage is at a perfect height for my 10 and 7 year old to access the critters. The bottom space allows for storage of extra hay, feed, and all the other stuff that goes with the animals. Also, the construction is stronger than most of the small animal cages I have come across.
Luckily, the new one was exactly the same model, however, we didn't realize how faded the old one was! Obviously it was built to last. The new one was assembled primarily by the 7 year old, so assembly is straight forward. One last thing: the bottom tray is supported for the entire length of the cage by 2 C channels on either side and slides out easily. Cleaning is a snap. Clips keep it in securely place otherwise.
